The most know divers watch, also being the most iconic watch in watchmaking history put on a new robe. Such an event is worthy to observe, as it will most likely move a couple things around the watch market.
It is now official: the new Submariner has been released early this September, and with it some other references have been revisited, as some Datejusts and Sea Dwellers. It is also worth noting that the famous "Kermit" (ref 126610LV) is now as other submariners available in 41mm, but with a finer look. These models will be available starting next month.
These new releases have already intrigued a lot, and has had large consequences on previous Submariner references, such as 114060 or 116610. As the production of these watches stopped, it is safe to say that their prices will be raising in the near future.
We can already see a significant raise in the pricing of these timepieces, and it will also most likely have an impact on previous 40mm models from the 14060 to the 16610, 1680 ect...
It is also quite plausible that to obtain these watches you will have to arm yourself with large amounts of patience, as the attention these watches keep on rising. At last it is worthy to note that the no date reference "124060" is historically easier to access that the date version if we are talking about pricing.
A great beginning of the year for the crowned brand, that dares to innovate while keeping its original essence and style.
